Terms of service
Last updated: 29 July 2026
Who you're dealing with
Inkon LTD, company number 16237982, registered in England, based in Thornton-Cleveleys, Lancashire ("INKON", "we"). These terms cover our website services; a short written agreement accompanies each piece of work and takes precedence if anything differs.
Quotes and prices
Prices are published on our pricing page and quoted in writing before work starts. No work is charged that wasn't agreed first.
Violet, our AI assistant
The chat on this site is answered by Violet, an AI assistant, and she's labelled as such. She can tell you about our published services and prices and take your enquiry, but she can't enter into agreements: scope, timings and anything price-related are only binding once John confirms them in writing. If Violet ever says something daft, the published prices and your written agreement win.
Pay-as-you-go work
The five-page Starter Site is £500, paid as a single one-off by Direct Debit (handled by GoCardless). You own the completed website - files, content and domain - from the moment payment clears. There's no setup fee on the Starter Site. Larger one-off builds, where agreed, may be staged across start and launch.
Getting started: the £99 setup
To begin a subscription plan there's a one-off £99 setup fee, paid by Direct Debit (handled by GoCardless). It covers the groundwork - setting up your domain and email (DNS and MX records), the planning and meeting time, and writing up your build plan. INKON funds the build itself, your hosting, and your AI setup and configuration, so the arrangement is weighted in your favour. The £99 is a setup fee and is non-refundable once your build has begun. By ticking acceptance on your audit page and paying the £99, you agree to these terms.
Subscription plans
Your monthly plan is set up by Direct Debit (GoCardless) and payments begin when your website goes live. On the Accelerate plan your Direct Debit must be in place before work starts; nothing is collected any sooner, but the mandate needs setting up first, because an Accelerate build carries substantially more work up front than the £99 setup covers. Plans include the website build and run for a minimum term of 6 months, then roll monthly with one month's notice. During a subscription INKON owns and hosts the website. After the 6-month minimum, if you decide to leave, the standard (static) version of your website is yours to keep at no extra cost; the Violet AI features and our other software tools - the chat assistant, lead capture and response, the content manager, and any dynamic functionality - are not included and remain INKON's. Your domain name and your content are always yours.
Our software and tools
Some plans include software we've built, such as the content manager that lets you update your own offers, events, menus and announcements. These tools are licensed to you for use while your subscription runs; they are not sold, and we may improve or change them over time. If your subscription ends - because you leave, or because the website or the business is handed over or sold - the licence ends with it: the static version of your site is yours to keep as above and works without our tools, but the tools themselves stop, and INKON has no obligation to continue developing, supporting, hosting or maintaining them for you or for any new owner of the site. Anything you created with them - your offers, events, menus and images - stays yours.
Content and approvals
You're responsible for the accuracy of information you supply and for having the rights to materials you provide. This includes anything you change yourself using our editing tools: you remain responsible for the accuracy of edits you make, and you confirm you own, or have the right to use, any image you upload. We rely on that, and we are not liable for content you supply or edit. We'll seek your approval before anything goes live, and at agreed points for ongoing content plans.
The sensible limits
We build carefully and host on reputable infrastructure, but no one can guarantee uninterrupted availability, specific search rankings or specific revenue outcomes - and you should be wary of anyone who does. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you've paid us in the preceding 12 months. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
