Web design · the North West
Web design in the North West, done properly.
Web design in the North West is a coin flip between big-city agencies on big-city retainers and bargain builders who vanish after launch. INKON is the third option: national-standard work, published prices, and a website that answers enquiries while you sleep.
Why the North West
The gap in the North West market
Manchester and Liverpool agencies do excellent work at £5,000-and-up with account managers between you and the people building. At the other end, someone's cousin does it for £300 and disappears. The middle - properly built, search-disciplined, honestly priced - is strangely empty across the region. That middle is exactly where INKON sits: five-page Starter Sites at £500, plans from £99 a month with the build included, every number on the page.
Intelligent websites travel well
What we build doesn't care about distance: pages structured to rank in your town, content written and posted for you, and an enquiry answered in seconds whether it arrives from Carlisle or Crewe. The search method is the same one proving itself on this site in public - watch where it ranks - and it works identically in any North West postcode. Meetings happen by video wherever you are; everything moves at the same speed regardless.
Rooted here, scaled properly
INKON is a Lancashire studio with a career's worth of nationally competitive search behind it - local enough to answer to its own reputation, experienced enough that the work holds up anywhere. The North West is our launch patch by choice: close enough to do it properly, big enough that no client ever feels like the ceiling. When your ambitions cross the Pennines or head south, the website is already built for it.

Asked by businesses across the North West
Can you get my business found on Google in the North West?
Yes - local SEO works the same in Stockport as in Blackpool: proper local pages, Google Business Profile discipline, reviews and citations. The difference is doing it properly, which most of your rivals do not.
Should I just use Wix or Squarespace instead?
You can, and a bargain builder is what half the North West reaches for. But you build and maintain it yourself, and a DIY site rarely ranks against firms doing it properly or answers the enquiry that comes in overnight. I build and look after it, structured to rank in your town wherever you are in the North West, with enquiries answered in seconds. If a builder genuinely suits you better, I'll say so.
Do you work with businesses in Manchester or Liverpool?
Yes - the build, the search work and the AI lead response are identical anywhere in the North West. City meetings are usually video, with in-person available when a project calls for it.
Can you do local SEO for an area you're not based in?
Local SEO is method, not residency: proper local pages, Google Business Profile discipline, reviews and citations work the same in Stockport as they do in Blackpool. The difference is doing it properly.
Are your prices the same across the North West?
Identical everywhere and published in full: five-page Starter Sites £500, or plans from £99 a month with the build included - Growth builds come with the plans. Nobody pays a postcode premium.
What if my business grows beyond the North West?
Good - the foundations are built for it. The same structure that ranks you town by town extends to any region, and the lead response scales with volume. Several things on my roadmap exist precisely for that conversation.
Can I get cheap web design in the North West?
You can get cheap anywhere. The region is full of bargain builders who take the money and go quiet, and city agencies who bill you every month for the privilege. My prices sit in between and they are on the page. Presence is £150 a year for one page, hosting in it. A Starter Site is £500 once. The Launch plan is £99 a month, six-month minimum. No quote-on-request games.
Who is the best web designer in the North West?
In a region this size, best is close to meaningless. Best for your trade, in your town, is the question worth asking. A big-city agency may genuinely be right for you, and if so I'll say it. Otherwise judge everyone the same way. Published prices. Real sites you can click through and use. Someone who answers when you ring. A clear answer on what happens after launch.
If I stop paying, do I lose the website?
Not if you bought it outright. Pay £500 once and the Starter Site is yours from day one, files and domain, wherever in the North West you are. On a monthly plan I host and own the build while you subscribe, minimum six months. After that, leave and the standard website is yours to keep. The AI lead response stays with me, since I run it. That is the whole arrangement, written plainly.
What happens once the site is live?
This is where the region gets let down. Bargain builders disappear and agencies bill you for a phone call. On the £99 a month plan you get hosting, support, small changes and the AI lead response included, so a new service page or a changed number costs you an email. Own a Starter Site and you can add the AI lead response for £200 a year. That is website design in the North West as I do it.
